Patricia Kay Davis (Thomas)
On Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017, Pat lost her long battle against cancer. After a long and valiant fight, she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
She was born June 15, 1943 to Curtis and Berneita J. (Miller) Thomas. She grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Clever High School in Clever, Mo. She was a Nurse’s Aide at St. John’s (Mercy) Hospital. She returned to school and earned her accounting degree and retired from accounting in 1996. She met the love of her life, Gordon R. Davis. The two married and blended two wonderful families together.
She was a longtime volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was very active in GYNCA, and organization that helps women with ovarian cancer. She was an avid reader, swimmer and gardener. She loved taking walks with Bella her dog. She was always early. She never missed a birthday, holiday, anniversary or special occasion and sent a card for each occasion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon Davis, son Steve Davis, daughter Tammy Inmon and sister Bobbi Arndt.
She is survived by daughter Vicky Wilson and husband Steve, sons Matt Davis and wife Christie, and Anthony Inmon and wife Jo Ann; Grandchildren Eric, Lauren, Katie,Cortney, Alysia, McKenna, Jessika, Erika, Carey and Andy with their wives and husbands; Great grandchildren Avery, Addison, Davis, Dominick, Gavin and Xander. Her sister Sue Willoughby husband Ronnie and family, and nieces Julie McGinnis, Sherry Hampton and their families. She is also survived by her best friend Beverly. She leaves extended famiy, many friends and loved ones behind too many to mention. She attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church for many years.
We would like to thank Bev for being best friend, caregiver, St. John’s Hospice, and all of the caring professionals at Dr. Carlson’s office.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mercy Hospice, GYNCA of Springfield or the American Cancer Society.
