Obituary for Shirley Jean Alexander

Shirley Jean Alexander, age 61 of Springfield, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of James Alexander and Julia Mae (Bailey) Alexander was born October 25, 1955 in Canton, Mississippi.

Shirley is survived by her children, Germal Kelly of Missouri and Sakiesha Phillips-Mays of St. Louis; sisters and brother, BeAnn Shell of St. Louis, Debra Chamberlin-Stephenson of St. Louis, Marilyn Benford of Springfield, and Roger Alexander of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a funeral service for Shirley 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home Chapel,

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

There will be a graveside service 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016 at Hazelwood Cemetery.
