Obituary for Rose Perlene English (Elmore)

Rose Perlene English (also known as Mamaw & Momma Rose) went home to be with the Lord Wednesday night September 6th at 11:25pm.

She was born on March 27th 1940 to Maudie & Isaac Elmore in Dallas, Tx. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Richard English of Springfield, MO, her 3 children, Rickey English & Patricia of Farmers Branch, TX, Darlene Holcomb & Roy of Fair Grove, MO, and Pastor John & Michele English of Springfield, MO. Her Sister Pat Vaughn of Republic, MO and her brother David Elmore of Plano, TX. She also has 6 grandchildren, Brian English, Kevin English & spouse Angela, Matt English, David English and Spouse Jennifer, Tyler English, and Adam English, and seven great grandchildren, Amelia & Kylee, Lily & Madsion, and Marissa, Tristian & Aston. She also has a host of other family members and friends.

Rose was a loving mother & wife that spent her life caring for her children & husband. She was a very dedicated Christian that loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was a passionate student of the Bible, a mighty prayer warrior, and was "The Rock" of our family. She loved to garage sale, plant flowers outside, play cards, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She was a bright and shining light in this world and in the lives of everyone that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday September 10, 2017 in Galloway Full Gospel Church 3357 W Farm Rd 146 Springfield, MO 65807. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday September 11, 2017 in the church with Pastor John English officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery.
